Outlive your life, by Max Lucado

The second reading of this book wrecked my heart even worst.
I've always admire the church of the book of Acts but there were a question in my mind, all the time: Why doesn't this happen anymore?
My problem was not if it could happen in our time and age but why it doesn't.
Well... now I know the answer: If the church is not an Acts' Church isn't because of the God but because of the people.
The origin of the power, the mercy and the love is not the problem. The conduct is. We are the problem.
But then again... we are the solution also. And there lies the beauty of ti all.
Max Lucado's book shows this: Nobody can do everything but everybody can do something.
The Church was never intend to be one solution but a compound of solutions, an army of solutions, a garden of solutions for a world that suffers.
This book makes you feel guilty but it doesn't leave you there. It takes you to action, not born from guilt but from conviction. Action born from faith.
If you're done being a comfortable christian read this book and find in it the spark you needed to light the fire within!
But if you like being a comfortable christian, don't read this book; devour it! Challenge yourself with this reading! Drag your civilian butt to this reading and become a Christian Soldier once for all! Be the real-life, down-to-earth, up-to-heaven hero you were meant to be!
